Dear Sir,“I wish to place on record my appreciation and thankfulness for the “Netherlands Exposure Visit” which was recently arranged by BIRD. The visit was exceptionally well organised and empowering. It not only provided me with an exposure to the hi-tech practices of Netherlands in agriculture, floriculture, dairy farming, organic farming, etc., but also to an entirely different culture and economy.

Namaste,my name is Bhartee Saraye and I work as Citizens Advice Bureau Organiser at the Citizens Advice Bureau, Prime Minister’s Office (Citizen Support Unit) - Mauritius.
I recently attended a course on - DEVELOPING WOMEN LEADERSHIP organized by ITEC - Bankers Institute of Rural Development (BIRD) at Lucknow in INDIA
Attending the training session at BIRD was a transformative experience for me. The expertise and passion for the subject matter, “Developing Women Leadership” were evident from the very outset, thereby creating an engaging and dynamic learning environment. I now have acquired a deeper understanding of women empowerment, conflict resolutions, emotional intelligence, leadership and self-development along with practical skills that I could apply in my work context.
The Programme Directors, Dr. Shikha Tripathi and Mrs. Suman Shukla made accessible complex concepts, rendering the learning process incredibly, smooth and enjoyable. The Self Help Group concept, examples used, were explained so clearly which I really appreciated. Actually, the Programme Directors made the course so enjoyable, entertaining and lovely that it seemed that we are in our own country.
Adding on to my experience, the learning centre offered various cultural experiences more specifically visit to Agra and meeting with the SHG’s women were fabulous.
The accommodation, foods served and other assistance provided were excellent and there is no room for complaints.
I, Mrs. Bhartee Saraye, on behalf of the Government of Mauritius and the High Commission of India in Mauritius wish to thank BIRD, the Director, the Programme Directors and their team for providing me such an interesting course and empowering me to empower women in the socio economic development in Mauritius.
One of the best parts of the training was not only the learning but also the social relations which we developed with intelligent and warm natured women which made this trip most memorable.
